Welcome to Blooming Minds! We are an ABA practice serving Los Angeles, Ventura, and Orange County with a vested interest in the growth of children with Autism. We’ve found in our experience that nurturing a child through ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), a world of possibilities opens up for them. We’ve seen dramatic differences and the joy of families that take this path. We believe in individualized care for each child, teaching them in the comfortable environment of their own home, and raising up family members and caregivers to support them in the process.
Join us in the health of your child.
We are dedicated to seeing transformation in the lives of our clients — not just for children with Autism, but for the entire family. Our aim is to meet each child where they are, helping them grow in the way that their mind understands, and collaborating with parents and family to support growth and strengthen the family as a whole.

As the Founder and President of Blooming Minds Inc., Sona brings with her 15 years experience working directly with children, young adults, and their families and caregivers. She is a dedicated practitioner with a vested interest in each family she serves.
Sona began here career providing public assistance to underserved communities through the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS). While there, she helped implement Obama Care during the early phases of the program, and she also helped develop DPSS’ strategic plans from 2014 to 2016. Following DPSS, she expanded her career into the Department of Children Family Service (DCFS) where she worked as a Children’s Social Worker and was later promoted to Supervising Children’s Social Worker.
Sona has worked daily with children who face behavioral and emotional challenges, including Autism. She understands the importance of early intervention, timely assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Her goal is to enable clients to live independently, have positive experiences with their environment, and to reach their full potential through a fulfilling and enjoyable life. She does this by helping them to express their own personal language, master daily living skills, engage more freely in social interactions, and improve their academics.
Sona received here B.A. in Sociology from California State University, Los Angeles. She is a Board Certified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, having received her M.S. in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Phoenix, Arizona. She continues to add to her knowledge by regularly attending conferences and workshops, and striving to bring best practices to the families she works with.
Sona’s passion runs deep. She is determined to make a difference in the life of each child she works with, and the family that surrounds them.
